Carlos Sainz, ahead of one of the biggest energy challenges of the year in the Italian GP

Carlos Sainz will meet the tifosi this weekend in Monza, a circuit that brings back good memories from the two podiums he clinched there while racing for Ferrari: he was second in 2020 and third in 2023.
Monza is the fastest racetrack in the calendar and this poses a unique challenge in terms of energy management, since drivers go flat out for three-quarters of the lap and there’s not much time to recharge the battery.
Pirelli is bringing the three softest compounds of its range to a race that is set to be a one-stopper. The weather forecast is positive as of today and there is no rain on the radar for the weekend.
