CS55 Racing Karting Academy: supporting the next generation

Carlos Sainz is fully committed to nurturing the grassroots of motorsports and a
good testament to that is the CS55 Racing Karting Academy, which offers a very
cost-effective pathway for kids between six and eight years of age to get
introduced to racing.

The CS55 Racing Karting Academy is an entry-level competition that supports the
Spanish Karting Championship. It is governed by the RFEdA and it is now in its
third season, featuring a total of eight races held across four different
tracks.

The number of participants has increased with every new season: from 14 in the
maiden year to 18 in the second one, to 26 in the third. Above the sporting
results, the main goal is to promote the values that Carlos Sainz has stayed
true throughout his life: respect, a will to improve and fair competition.
The Academy is unique in the sense that it constitutes a very cost-effective
entry to racing: a whole season is truly affordable for the average cost of
karting and motor racing and the entry fee includes everything: track-time,
racing overalls, the kart itself (chassis, an engine and a set of tyres) plus an
additional engine which is raffled.

All the karts of the CS55 Racing Karting Academy are the same: they are
manufactured by OTK under the CS55 Racing brand and rely on VEGA M1 tyres and an IAME X30 Waterswift engine. Both the racing overalls and the livery of the kart are unique to the series. It is the first stepping-stone into the wonderful
world of motorsports.
