Carlos Sainz hosts F1 at his home: the Madring is ready for the Spanish GP
Carlos Sainz is set to race for the very first time in a Formula 1 Grand Prix in his home city, Madrid. He will be using a special helmet inspired by the one he used as a kid, which was also inspired by the helmet that his father used in his last seasons in the World Rallying Championship.
Madring is set to pose a unique challenge to all drivers, which as of now, have only been able to know it through the simulator. It is an unforgiving circuit and it hosts a wide range of corners, including the banked Monumental.
It is not known for now just how easy it will be to pass on track, which means that Saturdayโs Qualifying will have a special importance. This Fridayโs practice sessions will be key to gain confidence and work on the set-up.
