Carlos Sainz enjoys Madring on Friday at the Spanish GP

- Free Practice 1: P17, 1:36.870, 30 laps

- Free Practice 2: P16, 1:36.291, 25 laps

• Carlos Sainz covered 297 kilometres in the Friday sessions of the Spanish GP, where much of the focus was on discovering the Madring racetrack and building confidence for the weekend.
• The Williams race driver completed 20 laps on Medium tyres in Free Practice 1 before switching to the Soft option, in which he clocked 10 laps, including his fastest one of the session (1:36.870).
• In the afternoon session, the local driver focused on the Medium compound, although he did go for the Soft to set his best lap of the day: 1:36.291.
• Management of tyre temperatures, prone to graining in many teams, was one of the key points of Friday, which is a prelude to a Qualifying session on Saturday that could very well be decisive.

 “Friday done in Madrid! We've had a relatively smooth day with no issues or incidents, just a good couple of sessions where we could experiment with the setup. The track is spectacular. It's one of those tracks that gets you going when you're in the car, and it feels hectic to say the least, but I'm really enjoying it. Unfortunately, we don’t seem competitive at this circuit, but we'll do the best we can to put together a strong weekend and see what we're able to do".
