Sunday, 3 May 2026:
- Race: P9, 57 laps

• Carlos Sainz stayed away from the trouble and the dangers of the Miami GP and recovered four places in the race to finish in ninth place and score two points.
• The Williams race driver did a perfect start and gained places in the first few meters. A very aggressive move from Max Verstappen cost him some ground momentarily, but he was able to recover and pass his teammate Alex Albon after the Safety-Car.
• Carlos and his team executed a one-stop strategy without any issues, making the call at the right time. The Spanish driver defended his ninth place until the chequered flag.

“Another very solid Sunday. I had a strong start and managed to position myself in contention for points. The pace from there was very good, the race was well-executed, and we were comfortably in the midfield fight. We’ve made progress over the early break, and the team has worked hard to bring this upgrade to the car. It shows how much we can achieve when we get our heads down, but this is still very far from where we want to be. Our aim is to keep up the good work and try to score points regularly".
