- Carlos Sainz recovered six places in the Canadian GP, from eleventh to fifth, with a remarkable race pace.
- Carlos and Ferrari seized the appearance of the Safety Car to stick to a one-stop strategy.
- Eleventh on the Starting Grid following yesterday’s penalty, the Ferrari race driver moved up to fifth in the first part of the race and showcased a great pace, especially on Medium tyres, which he kept alive until Lap 38 when he pitted for Hard tyres to make it to the finish line.

“Today was a positive race. We were able to push and recover after a challenging qualifying yesterday. We did the right strategy calls and we had a strong pace, especially with the medium tyre. The car felt good and we could push a bit more, also extending the first stint quite a lot, so I’m happy with that".
