Carlos Sainz looks for more points in the United States GP

United States GP, Circuit of the Americas (5,513 meters, 20 corners, in the calendar since 2012)

  • Carlos Sainz crosses the Atlantic Ocean to compete this weekend in the United States GP, a venue where he has historically gathered good results: he came in third in 2023 and finished second in 2024.
  • The Circuit of the Americas also marks the return of the Sprint weekend, which has not been around since July: Austin will host the fourth Sprint of the season out of six in total.
  • In the last two races, Carlos Sainz has scored 16 of the 32 points he has scored so far in the Drivers’ Championship this season. He wants to maintain the momentum in the six Grand Prixes that remain ahead.

QUOTES:
“It’s always great coming back to Austin, and with the Sprint format this year it’s going to be a really exciting and action-packed weekend on track. We’ve had a strong few weeks as a team and are building some nice momentum, so I’m looking forward to getting back out there and hopefully scoring more points to keep hold of P5 in the Championship. As an American owned team, going back to home soil always brings a lot of energy to the weekend, so it will be a busy one but one of the best weekends of the season".
