Good feelings in the first of three days of pre-season testing in Bahrain
- Carlos Sainz was the one in charge of clocking the first laps in the Ferrari SF-23 in the morning session of the first pre-season test.
- The Spanish Ferrari race driver covered 72 laps, going beyond the race distance of the Bahrain GP, with no reliability issues at all.
- Even though lap-times did not really matter today, his 1:33.253 on the C3 tyre was the second fastest lap of the morning session and the third overall of the opening day.
QUOTES:
“Overall a positive first day. Reliability was good and we could ran smoothly, covering the whole run plan and gathering valuable data, which is encouraging. We progressed well with the setup during the day and we also managed to get good reads on the tyres we tested in Abu Dhabi so, overall good progress made so far and looking forward to continuing tomorrow.
