• Carlos Sainz is set to start from the fifteenth place in Miami’s Sprint, compromised by a mistake in his single flying lap in SQ2.
• The Williams race driver was fourth in practice and fifth in SQ1, but SQ2 was all or nothing due to the decision to make a single attempt in the closing minutes of the session.
• Carlos left the pits with three minutes to go, but he locked up going into Turn 11 and this prevented him from putting together a clean lap.

QUOTES:
“In hindsight, it was not the right call to risk getting into Q3 with only one lap. I made a mistake locking up into turn 11 and that was it, there was no time left on the clock. Up to that point the lap was good but I’m obviously not happy because we were fast today".

"It’s going to be a tough Sprint tomorrow. I’ll try my best to recover and go at it again in the afternoon in Qualifying. We seem to have good pace this weekend so I look forward to getting back on track".
