Carlos Sainz, ready for the night of the Singapore GP

Singapore GP, Marina Bay Street Circuit (4,940 meters, 19 corners, in the calendar since 2008)

  • Carlos Sainz heads this weekend into the Singapore GP, one of the most iconic races in the calendar and the place where he clinched a stunning victory in 2023. Singapore is the original F1 night race and has been in the calendar since 2008.
  • The Williams race driver faces the Marina Bay Street Circuit strengthened by his brilliant performance in the Azerbaijan GP, where he finished in third place and clinched Williams’ first podium in over four years.
  • Carlos hopes to carry on the good momentum in this twisty track, which is very demanding physically for all drivers. Overtaking is tricky and temperature is a challenge, because there is only a night practice session, which are the conditions that drivers will later encounter in Qualifying and the race itself.

QUOTES:
“Baku was a great weekend for us, it felt great to be back on the podium and we enjoyed it all together! However, Baku is now in the past and we quickly switch our focus to what’s ahead of us. Singapore is always one of the toughest races of the year, both physically and mentally, but it’s also one of the most rewarding when you get it right, and I have great memories being here. I’m looking forward to getting back behind the wheel and to keep pushing to try to build some momentum for the remaining races of the season. Let’s go for it!".
