• Carlos Sainz made it to the podium of the United States GP, where he finished second and completed the second 1-2 finish of the season for Scuderia Ferrari.
• The Spaniard was off to a good start from the third place, but on the first meters he had to avoid Verstappen and Norris, who were fighting in front, to stay in third.
• The Ferrari driver then attacked Verstappen for second place, but an issue with the power-unit and having the Red Bull right in front cost him time.
• Carlos moved up to second with an undercut in the first and only pit-stop of the race.
• In the second half of the race, the Spaniard showcased a great pace on the Hard tyre and crossed the finish line in second, just like he did yesterday in the Sprint and in his best result in Austin.

“As a team this was basically the perfect weekend, so a mega congrats goes to everyone both here and at home. My race was compromised at the start as I got blocked by Lando (Norris) and Max (Verstappen) fighting in front of me, which meant I did the first stint behind the dirty air of Max. We had an issue with the engine and for some laps I was concerned but we managed to address it and used our pace to undercut Max and finish in P2. It’s great to be able to go on the attack with this car and we will battle until the last race for the Constructors Championship. We have to continue working like this for the next races, starting from Mexico City next week!”.
