Carlos Sainz, sixth in the Saudi Arabian GP

Race, 19 March 2023
-    Race: P6, 50 laps

  • Carlos Sainz finished sixth in Jeddah after a hard race. It was not the result he was hoping for, but neither was the pace of his car.
  • The Ferrari race driver passed Lance Stroll with an overcut in his one and only pit-stop and carefully managed his tyres through the second stint to cross the finish line in sixth place.
  • The Spaniard leaves Jeddah with another 8 points for the Championship and the conviction that the performance of his SF-23 will improve in the upcoming Grand Prixes.

QUOTES:
“It was a tough Sunday. Going into the race and looking at the sessions over the weekend, we were expecting better race pace. We have work to do and we know the car is not where we want it to be at the moment. However, we will keep pushing and I fully trust we can improve the situation".
