Carlos Sainz to start fourth in the Japanese GP

  • Carlos Sainz maximized the potential of his Ferrari SF-24 in the Qualifying session for the Japanese GP, where he secured himself a spot in the second row of the grid.
  • The Spanish race driver used a single set of tyres in one of the tightest Q1 in a long time, with the entire field within 1.2 seconds.
  • Carlos also made his way through Q2 with a single set of tyres, which enabled him to have two available for his final push in Q3.
  • In the last part, the Ferrari race driver clocked his fastest lap (1:28.682) in his first outing on track, putting the car in the fourth spot of the Starting Grid.

We knew since FP3 that this weekend we were lacking a bit over one lap, but starting P4 leaves us in a good position to fight tomorrow.
