• Carlos Sainz will try to come back to the points in the Italian GP from the thirteenth spot of the Starting Grid, after a Qualifying in which the preparation of the Soft tyre was a key factor.
• The Williams driver was among the fastest drivers yesterday, when he was able to put together more laps to adjust the temperature of his tyres. In Qualifying, though, he had to do that in a single lap.
• The Spanish race driver made the cut in Q 1 (1:19.644) with the fifth fastest time, but in Q 2 (1:19.528) he was not able to optimize his tyres in his fastest lap.
