- Carlos Sainz will try to gain back positions in the Italian GP and fight for a place on the most special podium of the year for a Scuderia Ferrari driver.
- The driver from Madrid has always been among the fastest in Q1 (1'20"149) and Q2 (1'19"799), in a demonstration of his good performance with the SF-24 in Monza.
- In Q3, Carlos showed some understeer on his last fast lap due to a drop in temperatures and, finally, he set the fifth best time of the day (1'19"467).
QUOTES:
"We knew it was going to be close! Pole was a tenth away and that’s obviously frustrating. Looking at the data afterwards you always think you could have done better here or there, but the track temperature dropped a bit in Q3 and we picked up some extra understeer that didn’t help. However, I feel like we pretty much extracted the maximum today and I remain confident for tomorrow. With a solid race execution we should target to gain positions and offer our tifosi a good show! I’m really looking forward to it".
