- Free Practice 1: P3, 1:31.952, 27 laps
- Free Practice 2: P3, 1:31.356, 27 laps
- Carlos Sainz was among the fastest drivers in the opening day of the Singapore GP, although he was not fully satisfied because his brakes were inconsistent throughout both practice sessions.
- The Ferrari race driver spotted the issue already in the first practice session, where he clocked 17 laps on the Hard tyre and also worked on the Soft one.
- In the second one, the race preparations continued with 19 laps of mileage on the Medium compound, both at the beginning and at the end of the session. He also produced two outings on Soft rubber to assess the SF-24 with less fuel.
- Carlos is confident he can make an important step forward on Saturday once the issue encountered today is solved. He can already sense that the baseline of the car is good.
QUOTES:
“It’s been a challenging start to the weekend to be honest. Already in FP1 I could feel there was something not quite right with the brakes and we seemed to carry that into FP2, so I struggled to get the most out of the two sessions. Other than that, the car seems to be in a good window. I’m confident that we can figure out what happened today and make a big step tomorrow!".
