• Peculiar Friday in Montreal: Free Practice 1 was shortened due to a technical issue on the cameras of the racetrack and Free Practice 2 was extended by 30 minutes to make up for the time lost in the morning.
• Carlos readjusted his run plan to focus everything on the second practice session, where he ran on the three different dry compounds supplied by Pirelli.
• The rain appeared in the final minutes of the session, but by then the Ferrari race driver had already tested different set-ups to try and optimize his SF-23. There could also be rain on Saturday.

"With hardly any track time in FP1, it meant that FP2 was particularly busy but we managed to try all three dry-weather compounds, as well as various set-ups on the car to improve performance. We made good progress over the course of the day. The result was quite positive, even if we still need to find a bit of pace and performance going into tomorrow".
