- Free Practice 1: P9, 1:44.574, 23 laps
- Free Practice 2: P5, 1:43.098, 25 laps

• Carlos Sainz completed Friday’s run plan in the Belgian GP, where the rain stayed away of Spa-Francorchamps the entire day.
• The Ferrari race driver covered a 13-lap run on Soft tyres in Free Practice 1, where he also worked with the Medium compound.
• In Free Practice 2, the Spanish focused more on the Medium tyre, on which he clocked 15 laps. He used the Soft one to go for his fastest lap, which was good enough for fifth in the standings.
• The weather forecast is uncertain for Saturday and rain is not ruled out for the Qualifying session, although Sunday’s race should be dry.

“This year we found a very different track compared to previous years due to the new asphalt. We had to adapt the car to these new conditions and bumps but overall the new surface provides a lot more grip. We need to keep an eye out for tire degradation and race simulation was an important part of our Friday program. Tomorrow we'll try to focus on maximizing the package we have and qualify as further up as possible".
