• Carlos Sainz only ran on the second free practice session, because in the morning one it was the team’s reserve driver, Arthur Leclerc, who was behind the wheel of his Ferrari SF-24.
• The Spanish race driver focused on the Medium tyre compound, on which he covered over 20 laps, and the Soft one, on which he set the fourth best time of the day (1:24.099), five tenths away from the fastest.
• Carlos is confident that the changes to the set-up of his SF-24 that will be done later tonight will allow him to fight for everything in what’s to come this weekend.

“This morning Artur Leclerc took the track for FP1 so I got a first feeling of the car in FP2 and it wasn’t too bad. However, looking at the pace, we need to improve our performance if we want to battle at the very top this weekend. We already have a couple of ideas so we’ll work on it today and try it on track tomorrow".
