Carlos Sainz wraps up the triple-header at home with the Spanish GP

Spanish GP, Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya (4,657 meters, 14 corners, in the calendar since 1991)

  • The Spanish GP is, once again, a very special moment for Carlos Sainz as it means being back home with his local fans.
  • The Williams race driver has scored points each and every time he has raced in Formula 1 at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. His best result to date is a fourth place in 2022.
  • Carlos’ fans will support him throughout the track, but especially from the Grada CS55, placed at the last sector and decorated in red, yellow and blue colours after him.

QUOTES:
"As we round out the final race of the triple-header, I’m excited to be finishing with my home Grand Prix in Spain. The team has been working tirelessly over the past few weeks to deliver some good performance and learnings, so hopefully we can continue that momentum. The characteristics of Barcelona haven’t always suited the Williams car, but we’ve proven this year that the FW47 can perform better across different circuits, so hopefully we’ll be in a good position to score some points. The fans in Spain are always so passionate so I can’t wait to see everyone out for the week!".
