The first step in the Spanish karting ladder will continue using karts from the CS55 Racing brand
CS55 Racing Karting Academy, the first step in the Spanish karting ladder, aimed at children from ages six to eight, is ready for the 2025 season. It does so with renewed strength as a result of the will of Carlos Sainz in a close partnership with the Real Federación Española de Automovilismo to promote an entry path to motorsports from the first step in a financially affordable way.
The competition will begin in April and will finish in September, with four double-headers that will take place on four different tracks scattered around Spain: the Circuito de Motorland (Aragón), the Circuito de Campillos (Málaga), the Circuito Internacional Lucas Guerrero (Chiva) and the Circuito Internacional de Zuera (Zaragoza).
The registration process is now open and the first round of the championship will take place on the 12th and the 13th of April.
The CS55 Racing Karting Academy is a joined collaboration between the Real Federación Española de Automovilismo and Carlos Sainz, who join forces with a racing series where learning is important and where young drivers can take a first step towards the upper levels of Spanish karting. The series uses CS55 Racing karts, a kart brand created in 2024 by Carlos together with the renowned Italian kart manufacturer OTK.
In 2024, 14 drivers competed in the maiden season. Beyond racing for victory on the track, they also showed great displays of camaraderie and friendship off the track, proving the importance of knowing how to enjoy the sport and having fun. Leo Dehavive was the first champion of the competition.
Quotes:
Carlos Sainz: “I am very proud that CS55 Racing Karting Academy establishes itself as the first step in karting for children from all over Spain. Racing is an expensive world and not very accessible, but with this partnership with the RFEdA we have built a platform so that little kids can take a first step and start their journey in motorsports at a reasonable cost for their parents. I hope they all get very far in the future.”
