PREVIOUSLY:
- Carlos Sainz has scored points in each and every appearance at the Spanish GP, where last year he finished sixth, matching his best-ever result at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

- This year the track is 20 metres longer than last year, given that Turns 10 and 11 have been redesigned in order to have the same layout both for Formula 1 and MotoGP.
