Saudi Arabian GP, Jeddah Corniche Circuit (6,174 meters, 27 corners, in the calendar since 2021)
- Carlos Sainz tackles in the Saudi Arabian GP, the third and final race of the first triple-header of the 2025 season. He does so in the fastest street track of the calendar, with average speeds above 250 kilometres per hour that are only second to Monza.
- The Williams race driver arrives in Jeddah willing to strengthen the progress he has made in the last few rounds, where external factors have impeded him from scoring points ever since the Chinese GP. The grid is very tight, and Qualifying will play a major role in a racetrack where the confidence and precision of the driver are key factors.
- Carlos has not raced in Saudi Arabia for two years, because in 2024 he was still convalescing after his appendectomy. His best result to date is a third place in 2022.
QUOTES:
"Whilst it’s never a good feeling coming off a DNF, we showed good pace during the entire weekend in Bahrain, so we’ll look to carry this into Saudi. It’s a fast track that requires a consistent build up through the practice sessions, requiring complete confidence in the car when it comes to Qualifying. I haven’t driven this track properly for two years now after missing it last year, so I’m looking forward to this fun circuit and to see what learnings from the past two weeks we can take to maximise the weekend".
