Carlos Sainz renews his contract with Scuderia Ferrari

The new agreement is for the 2023 and 2024 seasons

Carlos Sainz has renewed his contract as a race driver of Scuderia Ferrari for another two seasons, until the end of the 2024 Formula 1 World Championship. By then, he will have already contested in ten Formula 1 seasons.

Carlos joined Ferrari in 2021. So far, he has clinched six podiums with the team (two of them in the current season) and a fifth place in the Drivers’ Championship. The new agreement was announced in the days leading to the GP del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia Romagna, held in Imola at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari.

This new deal ratifies the confidence that the most successful team in history has put in him to get back on top of the World Championship, a goal that he is chasing at the moment at the wheel of a F1-75 that has started the 2022 Championship as one of the leading cars of the field.
Carlos made his Formula 1 debut with Toro Rosso in the 2015 season when he was only 20 years old. He joined Renault before the end of the 2017 Championship and then McLaren in 2019. During the spring of 2020, Ferrari confirmed him as his racing driver for the following season.
Carlos’ new contract goes through the end of the 2024 Championship. By then he will have already raced in ten Formula 1 seasons and appeared in more than 200 Grand Prixes.
