Sunday, 15 June 2025:
- Race: P10, 69 laps
- Carlos Sainz recovered from sixteenth place to tenth in the Canadian GP, even though he was carrying a technical issue on his Williams FW47 all along, which impeded him from pushing to the max.
- The Spanish race driver opted for an alternate strategy to climb back: he started on the Hard tyre and covered 57 laps on it, before switching to the Medium compound to go to the finish line.
- Carlos values positively the point he has scored, but he doesn’t lose sight of the fact that his chances were compromised on Saturday by an impeding in Q1 and then today due to the technical issue he had.
QUOTES:
“Good to at least score one point today, but I’m pretty frustrated as I spent the race managing an issue, so I couldn’t even compete properly. We did a good job to bring the car home and save a point but, as a team, we need to avoid these situations. We didn’t show our maximum potential this weekend for one reason or the other and with such a tight field it obviously affects the final outcome. We’ll regroup and go back at it again in Europe in a couple of weeks".
