- Race: Did not start

• Carlos Sainz was not able to take the start of the Austrian GP, as he suffered an issue in his Williams FW47.
• As he was about to start the formation lap, his car did not start, which led the marshals to abort the start of the race.
• The Spaniard was finally able to reset his car and managed to get going, but when he returned to the Pit Lane the rear brakes of his car caught fire and the damage was irreparable.
