- Carlos Sainz is set to start the United States GP from the second row of the grid, after experiencing some stability issues in the third sector during Q3.
- The Spaniard made it safely through Q1 (1:35.824) and Q2 (1:35.302) with no issues, and in Q3 (1:34.945) he was two tenths short from pole position.
- The Ferrari race driver feels there is margin of improvement for tomorrow’s Sprint, where he thinks he can improve his result if he finds the optimum balance for his car.
