• Carlos Sainz finished a tricky Qualifying for the Monaco GP in fifth place after encountering slow cars during his last Q3 outing.
• The Ferrari race drivet was quick and stayed away from the trouble both in Q1 (1:12.717) and Q2 (1:12.210) despite a red flag in the first session due to an incident on track.
• In Q3, nevertheless, his chances were compromised after encountering three slow cars during his final fastest lap.

"Honestly, I’m not happy with how things ended in Q3. Having to pass three slow cars during the last push lap is far from ideal especially when things were so tight. I’m disappointed because the weekend had been quite positive up to this point. Anyway, we still have a chance to do well in the race tomorrow, so we’ll aim to use our good pace and the strategy to try and make up some places".
