  • Carlos will start tomorrow from the third row of the grid in the Sprint Qualifying, the result of which will define the starting order of the Brazilian GP.
  • After matching his lap-times in Q1 (1:09.046) and Q2 (1:09.031), the Spanish driver found two tenths in Q3 (1:08.826) to clinch sixth place.
  • One of the goals for this Saturday’s race is to pass AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly and to strengthen Ferrari’s position as the third fastest team in Interlagos.

QUOTES:
“Positive quali today as I keep improving my driving style with this car and the feeling in all types of tracks and conditions. The consistency is getting better in Qualifying and today was a good day. The only downside is that the Alpha Tauri seems to have a bit more pace, so the aim for tomorrow is trying to beat Gasly and lead the chase to the teams ahead. A clean sprint race is key to having good chances on Sunday, so we’ll make sure we are in the best position possible to maximize the weekend. I want to thank the entire racing team for staying late and doing such a good job yesterday night to give us a competitive car today. On to tomorrow!".
