- Free Practice 3: P5, 1:33.053, 20 laps
- Qualifying: P3, 1:30.687, 15 laps
- Carlos qualified third and fought for pole in the Q3 of the Bahrain GP, where he found again the good feeling with his car after Friday practice.
- The Ferrari driver made it through Q1 (1:31.567) with a single set of Sot tyres and in Q2 (1:30.787) set the second fastest time in two outings, albeit with a single set of tyres.
- The Spaniard was on provisional pole after his first Q3 outing (1:30.687), but he couldn’t progress further in the second one and in the end finished third.
