-    Qualifying: P4, 1:41.814, 19 laps

  • Carlos qualified fourth in the Azerbaijan GP after an incident in his last attempt in Q3, when he brushed the wall at the exit of Turn 2.
  • The Ferrari driver made it through Q1 (1:42.957) and Q2 (1:42.088) using a single set of Soft tyres in each session, and therefore landed in Q3 with two brand new sets still available.
  • The Spaniard was on provisional pole after his first outing in Q3 (1:41.814), but in the second one he was not able to improve due to the aforementioned mistake in the first sector.

QUOTES:
“It was quite a positive day on my side despite the final result. I felt better in the car and more comfortable when pushing the limits. I progressed well through the sessions and I found myself quickest before the last run. It was extremely close at the top and I knew I had to take that extra bit of risk on the last attempt. Sometimes it goes well and others, like today, you miss out on a better result",

"Unlike other circuits, the starting position is not that critical here in Baku and anything can happen tomorrow. We’ll try to attack and gain positions during the race to bring home a strong result. The team gave us a great car again today so congrats to everyone and to Charles".
