• Carlos Sainz set the second fastest time of the day in the first day of practice for the British GP, where he finished just 22 thousandths of a second away from the fastest.
• The Ferrari race driver focused on the Soft and Medium compounds as Pirelli’s new tyre construction made its debut in Silverstone.
• In Free Practice 2, the Spaniard centralized the work of the Scuderia as the team found an electric issue in the other car that prevented it from running.

“It was a challenging Friday here in Silverstone. FP1 was quite tricky because of the wind and the track conditions but we completed a good programme and I think this helped us make good progress in FP2".
