- Free Practice 1: P3: 1:34.611, 23 laps
- Free Practice 2: P3, 1:32.520, 22 laps
- Carlos Sainz was third in the two first practice sessions of the Bahrain GP, where the Ferrari F1-75 gave continuity to the good sensations gathered during pre-season testing.
- In Free Practice 1 the Spaniard worked with the Hard and the Medium tyre. He then turned his attention to the Soft compound for Free Practice 2, which was held in night conditions just like Qualifying and the race itself.
- Even though his fastest time (1:32.520) put him third in the standings, Carlos feels there is still margin for improvement because he didn’t feel comfortable with his set-up in the second practice session.
QUOTES:
“It was a good FP1, the feeling with the car was good and improving from testing. Unfortunately, in FP2 this good feeling went away, we didn’t nail the set up and I struggled to put a clean lap together. We definitely need to have a close look at that tonight. I’m confident we can go back to the feeling of this morning and we’ll be ready for Qualy".
