• Among other challenges, Carlos Sainz had to cope with the low-grip of the Baku City Circuit as he made his way through Friday practice. The track evolved through the day and there were several stoppages due to incidents on track.
• The Ferrari race driver saved the Hard tyre and chose instead to work on the Medium and the Soft compounds in both practice sessions. On the Medium, he covered 13 laps in Free Practice 1 and 17 in Free Practice 2.
• The Spaniard worked on the balance of his car and, in the afternoon, he focused especially in the race preparations.

QUOTES:
"We had the usual challenging Friday here in Baku, with very little grip to begin with and then finding a different and evolving track as the day went by. We were almost 4-5 seconds slower compared to last year and it was complicated to get a proper read on the car balance. However, we were able to progress from the first to the second session and I'm confident we can keep it up and improve even further for tomorrow’s Qualfying".
