• Carlos set the seventh fastest time of the day with his McLaren: 1:44.183 on soft tyres.
• Green at first, the track evolved through the session and progressively gained speed as temperatures decreased.
• The Spaniard completed two six-lap runs on medium tyres, plus a third one of three laps. He also performed a seven-lap stint on softs.
