Carlos Sainz starts the 2022 F1 season in the Bahrain GP

PREVIOUSLY:

  • This weekend Carlos Sainz starts his eighth season in Formula 1. He does so in the Bahrain GP, the same venue where he made his Ferrari debut last season.
  • The Spaniard gets to Sakhir after a productive pre-season in which the new Ferrari F1-75 was the car with the most mileage of the grid, almost 4,000 kilometres across six days of winter practice.
  • The Bahraini race marks the start of a new chapter in the history of Formula 1, with a new generation of single-seaters built around an aerodynamic philosophy that promote overtaking to a certain extent.
