Austrian GP, Red Bull Ring (4.326 meters, 10 corners, in the calendar since 1970)
- Carlos Sainz travels this weekend the Styrian mountains to compete in the Austrian GP, a race in which he has scored points in eight of the nine times he has crossed the finish line. He has also had a podium finish.
- The Red Bull Ring is famous for its right-hand turns and its short lap, which lasts just over a minute: making the most of every inch while surfing the kerbs will be key in Qualifying.
- Tyres may play a big role: Pirelli has selected the three softest compounds and temperatures are expected to surpass the 30-degree mark, which could lead to some degradation. Rain is not ruled out either for the Grand Prix.
