Austrian GP, Red Bull Ring (4,318 meters, 10 corners, in the calendar since 1970)
- Formula 1 returns to Europe for the Austrian GP, the first part of a double-header that will continue next week with the home race of the Williams team: the British GP.
- The Red Bull Ring is known for its elevation changes, its long straights, a middle sector that demands downforce and some final corners where track limits always play a role.
- Carlos’ best result to date in the Austrian track is a third place in last year’s event. This season, he is confident that this circuit will suit the strengths of his Williams FW47.
QUOTES:
“I’m looking forward to Austria for what will be the start of our next double-header. With Austria being a Sprint event last year, we had to really hit the ground running. However, this year I’m looking forward to having the Free Practice sessions since there is a lot I still want to try with my FW47. This track could potentially suit our car, so we’ll do our best to deliver a strong weekend for the team and our fans!".
